in Kitimat (Canada B.C.), all the 384 AP40 pots have been successfully started using our patented dry start-up procedure. The last pot was started on March, 29th 2016. A performance test on 24 pots has demonstrated benchmark performances at 405 kA, with an average production of 3114 kg/pot/day at 12,808 kWh/t. Current Efficiency is above 96.1%. The robustness and reliability of the AP40 has been confirmed thanks to team work with all our stakeholders.
- CHMF module allows a lean management of the metal flow in between the Reduction and the Casthouse sectors. From Metal Tapping to Furnaces loading, the flow of ladle will be fully managed by MESAL™. Go live in Q4/2016.
- Operation follow-up in Reduction area module allows the full monitoring of operation in pots. Any deviation with the operating procedure done during the operation is clearly identified and a mitigation plan can be defined to fix this deviation. Already Live.
