At the 37th ICSOBA conference, R Chahine presented a paper on the design of magnetic solutions using MHD code to study the stability of aluminium electrolysis pots and the role it can play in using boosters in smelters in order to develop and test new AP technology pot improvements and in calculating the pot MHD stability limit for creeping and designing solutions in case of unstable pots.
